EmbodyogaTM—Precision Alignment and Vinyasa Yoga.
Embodyoga™ is an innovative and exciting approach to yoga, steeped in ancient wisdom and informed by cutting-edge study in the field of body awareness.
Our programs are well-rounded, in-depth studies with an emphasis on deepening personal experience as the basis for developing presence and power as a teacher.
Embodyoga™ provides a deep knowledge of alignment, profoundly influenced by the innovative approach to full embodiment and consciousness presented by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen of the School for Body–Mind Centering®.
Learn “embodied-inquiry,” a methodical practice for directly experiencing—through sensing, feeling, and witnessing—all of who and what we are. The embodied inquiry techniques of Embodyoga™ blend with our practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation, giving rise to intimate self-knowledge. Self-knowledge breeds acceptance, contentment, and love. Insight and inspiration flow spontaneously.
Program director Patty Townsend synthesizes more than 35 years of serious study in Iyengar, Ashtanga, and vinyasa yoga. She incorporates her knowledge as a teacher of Tantric meditation, Embodied Anatomy™ and Embodied Developmental Movement in the Teaching of Yoga™ into this rich curriculum for training teachers.
This is a highly rewarding study for serious yoga practitioners and yoga teachers alike. More information at embodyoga.com and yogacenteramherst.com.

Good Toning Workout
If you need a class to help you heal injury or recover from illness you should try the therapeutic yoga or restorative yoga classes. If you need to opposite- a serious workout try the Ashtanga yoga. There is everything in between- hatha classes for relaxation as well as a good toning workout.
